Antique Japanese Usubata Ikebana Mixed Metals Gilt Bronze Vase for your consideration. The vase measures approx. 11 1/2 inches tall, 6 1/4 inches X 6 1/4 inches. Japanese, Meiji Period, 19th Century. Gilt solid bronze; mixed-metal adornments. Lovely usubata form with tulip stylized handles & four masked elephant footed base. Foral design with several mixed-metal animal motifs including rodent, bats, butterflies and bird. Further decorative details on top, interior of vase includes clouds, crescent moon, weeping willow tree and pagoda architecture. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Handles are possibly missing a few decorative elements. Minor soiling, oxidation and surface residue throughout. See photos. Displays extraordinary!
