$2,750.00

Antique Limoges Tressemanes and Vogt (T&V) Hand Painted Royalty Portrait Punch Bowl for your consideration. The punch bowl measures approx. 12 1/2 inches in diameter and approx. 5 1/4 inches tall. Red and pink hand painted punch bowl with three portraits of female royalty. Lion and shield symbol on inside of bowl towards the rim. Art Nouveau decorations of blue, pink and yellow dotted gilt motifs. Marked on base, “T&V FRANCE”. Signed and dated by artist, “M.L.W. 1903”. Also included on base is handwritten museum or auction catalogue number, “84. 1. 123”. The punch bowl was acquired with an old newspaper cutout of Queen Louise. Unsure if this originally was a commemorative royalty punch bowl or a presentation punch bowl for royalty. None the less, a one of a kind, very rare Limoges punch bowl of museum quality. The newspaper clipping will be included. The punch bowl is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. Gilding is a bit faded on top rim and at base. See photos. Displays phenomenal!
