Antique Japanese Maki-e Lacquered Koi Fish Tray for your consideration. The tray measures approx. 13 7/8 inches long, 9 1/8 inches wide and 5/8 of an inch tall. Meiji Period, Japan. Maki-e techniques. Lacquerware. Rectangular tray with scalloped corners. Pair of koi or carp-like fish swimming in current of moving stream. Floral design throughout. Old paper label to reverse of tray. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. See photos. Displays handsomely!
