Description
E. W. Turn Wein Porcelain Maiden Bust for your consideration. The bust measures approx. 9 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches deep. Bohemian, late 19th to early 20th Century. Art Nouveau. Ernst Wahliss (1836 – 1900), Turn-Teplitz. Hand painted porcelain bust of lovely maiden in Victorian dress. White overcoat and blouse with pale green scarf, waist sash and sunbonnet. Quad-footed floral base. Several marks on base including partial E. W. Turn crown mark that reads, “Made in Austria” in blue, a handwritten, “133 G” mark in gold ink and an impressed, “4008” mark. Good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age. Several fleabites throughout. One of the flower petals at base is chipped as well as the back rim of her hat. Condition issues are not noticeable except under close examination. See photos. Displays gorgeous!
