Rare & Original Stellmacher Teplitz Girl on Donkey Porcelain Figurine for your consideration. The figurine measures approx. 9 inches tall, 8 inches wide and 9 inches in length. Bohemian, 19th Century. Alfred Stellmacher (1837-1899). Amphora. Ivory porcelain figurine. Young girl seated atop a donkey with both her legs draped over the donkey’s right shoulder. Wicker carrying baskets balanced on either side of the ass. Impressed marks on base, “STELLMACHER TEPLITZ” and “520” “18 G”. Overall, good antique (restored) condition. Fairly well-done older restorations including donkey’s left ear, front and back right hooves, front and back left legs and the back topographical support element. In addition, the back handle of the wicker basket on the donkey’s right side is missing including the girl’s left pinky finger. Further condition issues include but are not limited to, soiling, crazing, minor fleabites and paint-flakes. See photos. Displays splendid!
