Art Nouveau Jennings Brothers Ormolu Inkwell for your consideration. The inkwell measures approx. 3 3/4 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Milk glass insert measures approx. 1 1/4 inches tall and approx. 1 1/2 inches in diameter. American; Bridgeport, Connecticut. Late 19th to early 20th Century. Art Nouveau. Gilt metal raised floral motif design. Single hinged lid. Original milk glass insert. Embossed marks on base, “JB” for Jennings Brothers and design number, “117”. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Repaired hinge, yet functions properly. Milk glass insert has a few tight hairlines. A few small areas of gilt loss. Natural aged patina. See photos.
