Antique Thai Buddhist Votive Plaque

Authentic Thai Buddhist Votive Plaque for your consideration. The plaque measures approx. 12 3/4 inches long, 4 1/4 inches wide and 1/2 of an inch deep. Southeast Asia, Thailand, 19th Century or earlier. Sukhothai-style. Metal-alloy, relief decorated, Buddha in temple lancet opening supported by a pair of columns with floral details. Buddha stands on a lotus designed pedestal with animals offering gifts at his feet. The scene is representative of when Buddha retreated into the Parileyya forest before his disciples quarreled and was fed by an elephant and a monkey. The votive is in good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. The relic has been reattached at some point, revealing old, dried adhesive, mainly to the reverse. Not noticeable except under close examination. Natural aged patina. See photos. Displays interesting!
