Antique Chinese Silk Embroidery Framed Tray for your consideration. The framed textile measures approx. 7 1/8 inches X 13 inches and approx. 7/8 of an inch thick. Textile fragment measures approx. 3 1/2 inches X 8 5/8 inches. Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 19th Century. Chinese Export. Rectangular. Finly hand-stitched silk embroidery, gold threading. Fragment likely taken from ornamental garment. Depicts Geji figure in garden setting in center. Paneled floral motifs decorated throughout including floral patterned border. Artwork is under glass and encased in old, dark-red lacquer framed tray. Reverse, base covered in old lacquered black cloth including four cushioned ends in each corner. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Textile has not been examined outside of framed tray. See photos. Displays splendid!
