American, New York, late 19th to early 20th Century. Silver-plated copper. Demi-lune. Finely decorated repousse’ design of putti & cherubs at play, cartouche swag and floral motifs, heavily covering the entirety of the box. Single hinge. Original green velvet removable tray liner. Ball-footed base. Marked with E. G. Webster & Son. hallmark including, “E23”. Excellent antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. Velvet lining shows worn areas.
