Antique Cast Iron Charcoal Clothes Iron for your consideration. The iron measures approx. 8 inches tall, 8 inches long and 3 5/8 inches wide. Late 19th to early 20th Century. All original and unrestored. Decorative grotesque devil-like creature head with wooden handle. Wooden knob for opening latch on coal chamber. Cast iron trap door for removing ashes. Coal trivet inside chamber. Embossed markings, “AW 2B” on underside of lid and “2” on inside of base. Excellent antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. See photos.
