Antique Jha Phor Tibetan Burlwood & Silver Tea Bowl Cup for your consideration. The bowl measures approx. 1 1/2 inches tall. Top diameter measures approx. 3 1/2 inches and base footed diameter approx. 1 7/8 inches. Tibet, 19th Century. Jha Phor aka Tsampa Bowl. Burl wood (burr) or root wood. Hand hammered silver lining inside bowl that wraps over flared lip. Decorative silver repousse and filigree bell, rope and tassel designed foot. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. A couple gouges to wood surface including rough inner edge to foot base. Silver and wood have natural aged tarnish and patina. See photos.
