Description
Weller Ardsley Art Pottery Vase for your consideration. The vase is a nice size, measuring approx. 9 inches tall. Top and base diameter measures approx. 3 1/2 inches. American, Zanesville, Ohio, c.1920s. Art Pottery, vase, in the form of green reeds and brown cattails with white flowers at center towards the base on either side. Handwritten, “15” mark on base. Unmarked by Weller but guaranteed to be an authentic Weller Pottery piece. Finding unmarked Weller Ardsley pieces is common. During the 1920s, Weller frequently relied on paper or foil labels that washed off over time rather than using permanent in-mold signatures. The vase is in excellent antique condition. No chips or cracks. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. Crazing throughout as typical, mainly visible to the interior. See photos. Displays splendid! A great start or addition to any art pottery collection!
