Art Deco Jennings Bros. Parrot Bookends for your consideration. Each bookend measures approx. 6 inches tall, 5 5/8 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches deep. American, c. 1920s. Pair. Cast gray metal, gold gilt. Exotic birds perched on brown triangular bases. On underside of one of the bookends is the original green felt base with sticker that reads, “J.B.” “ARTWARE OF DISTINCTION. THE JENNINGS BROS. MFG. CO.” Embossed mark on inside of each bookend that reads, “JB 287”. Very good vintage condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. See photos. Displays splendid. Hard to find and highly collectible!
