Rare & Original Prewar Lionel Standard Gauge No. 8 E Locomotive for your consideration. The toy locomotive measures approx. 12 inches long (11 inches long w/out couplers), 3 1/4 inches wide and 4 3/4 inches tall. American, NYC c. 1925-1932. Lionel Corp. Retains over 90% of original red paint. Two headlight bulbs. Brass plates on either side reads, “LIONEL” “THE LIONEL CORPORATION N.Y.” and “No. 8”. Bottom information plate reads, “LIONEL “SUPER-MOTOR” FOR STANDARD TRACK THE LIONEL CORPORATION, N.Y.”. Good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use.
