Antique Tin-Litho General Store Counter Display Tobacco, Spice and/or Tea Canister Dispenser for your consideration. The canister measures approx. 10 1/4 inches tall, 8 1/8 inches wide and 8 1/4 inches deep. American, Late 19th Century. S. A. Ilsley & Co. New York. Tin-litho decorated Christopher Columbus and fellow seafarers arriving on tropical land with Native Indian on knees covering face with hand. Floral design throughout. Bronze knob-handle opens hinged compartment door to access the inside. Good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Condition issues include but are not limited to: soiling, small areas of litho imagery loss, minimal rusting, fading, scratching, minor dents and dings, etc… Shabby chic! See photos.
