Rare & Original Art Pottery Owl Bookends Pair for your consideration. Each bookend measures approx. 4 1/2 inches tall, 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches deep. German, first half 20th Century. Arts & Crafts. Flambe swirled blue & turquoise matte glaze. Figural owl perched on stack of books. Each is marked with circular “GERMANY” stamp on base. One bookend has impressed, “1401” mark and remnant of old handwritten paper label. Good vintage condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Several areas of chipping. Not noticeable except under close examination. See photos. Displays marvelous, Scarce!
