Antique Nichols & Stone Windsor Spindle Chair for your consideration. The chair measures approx. 35 1/4 inches tall, 20 inches wide and 20 inches deep. The seat measures approx. 17 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 17 1/2 inches tall. American; Gardner, Mass, late 19th to early 20th Century. Made by Nichols & Stone Company, the oldest furniture-making company in the United States, tracing back to 1762. Four spindled legs with three spindled brace construction. Stylized shaped seat. Nine thinly spindled back including two flared spindles in very back. Old paper label and impressed stamp mark on underside of seat. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. See photos. Displays handsomely!
