Antique Lady of Guadalupe Holy Water Pottery Jug for your consideration. The jug measures approx. 8 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The spout measures approx. 4 inches long with opening measuring approx. 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Mexico, late 19th to early 20th Century. Holy water or pulque vessel; jug. Gourd form, Metepec black-glazed redware with applied floral decorations including Lady of Guadalupe motif underneath the spout. Twisted handle. Very good antique condition. No chips or cracks. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Either small areas of restoration or original manufacturing flaws to glaze as seen in photos 10-12. Not noticeable except under close examination. See photos. Displays impressive!
