Antique Hanau Silver Mounted Etched Glass Decanter for your consideration. The decanter measures approx. 11 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 3 3/8 inches deep. German, late 19th Centry. French Rococo style. Rectangular, etched sprig, rose & fern wreath decorated glass decanter with canted corners and a tall neck. Silver overlay cork stopper with figural finial of a putti boy with raised cup. Openwork, silver mounted base and collar. Heavily decorated pierced repousse’ harvest scene of gardener adding water to plant while a husband embraces his wife. Cartouche foliage accented throughout. Hanau hallmarks on base, Georg Roth & Co. Very good antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. One side of silver mounting on base is slightly protruded. Silver is a bit tarnished, and inside of glass showing faint residual traces. Condition issues not noticeable except under close examination. Natural aged patina. See photos. Displays impressive!
