Antique Folk Art Landscape Oil Painting for your consideration. The painting measures approx. 9 inches X 13 1/2 inches and approx. 3/4 of an inch thick. American/Continental, 19th Century. Oil on stretched- canvas. Folk art, English School, Impressionist. Unframed. Landscape, hand painted, depicts riverside scene with vine-covered cobblestone bridge and red-roofed church in forested background. There are two faint, red-coated figures seen walking across the bridge. Signed by unknown artist in corner and dated, “/87”. Good antique “primitive” condition. Shows wear commensurate with age.
