Antique Bas-Relief Carved Miniature Portrait Plaque of Saint John for your consideration. The plaque measures approx. 3 1/2 inches X 4 3/4 inches and approx. 3/4 of an inch thick. European, possibly French, 16th to 17th Century, Renaissance to Baroque Period. Hand-carved portrait relic is carved from one block of wood. Retains original surface. Believed to be the young apostle, John. Excellent antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age. See photos. Displays important!
