American, Newark, New Jersey c. 1906., The Whitehead & Hoag Company. Advertising for Lafayette-South Side Bank of St. Louis. Celluloid tape measure has lithograph portrait of artwork after Jean-Jacques Henner’s, “Saint Fabiola” on one side and on the other side the tape measure reads, “LAFAYETTE-SOUTH SIDE BANK OF ST. LOUIS ~ CAPITAL AND SURPLUS $1,250,000.00 TOTAL RESOURCES $10,000,000.00 ~”. Original cloth measuring tape with metal hook; retractable & functional. Excellent antique condition.
