Rare & Original Antique Flow Black Cup and Saucer for your consideration. The saucer measures approx. 6 1/4 inches in diameter and approx. 1 1/4 inches tall. The cup measures approx. 2 3/4 inches tall; top diameter approx. 3 1/2 inches, and footed base diameter approx. 1 3/4 inches. English, Staffordshire, first half 19th Century. Ironstone, Flow-Black, “Mulberry” underglazed stenciled fern design decorating the exterior of the saucer and handleless cup. Cup is further decorated with underglazed line bordering the interior lip. Cup and saucer are both illegibly marked on undersides. Overall, good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Three shallow lip rim chips to cup. Can be displayed to completely hide the chips. Typical fine crazing and light age stains throughout. See photos.
