Antique Pioneer Gold Flake Tobacco Tin Litho Advertising Box for your consideration. This box is the larger size, measuring approx. 7 inches long, 4 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Liverpool, England, late 19th to early 20th century. Tobacco tin, ‘Pioneer brand tobacco’, Richmond Cavendish Co Ltd. Tin-litho, vibrant gold flake design. Single hinged lid, rectangular shaped box. Lid reads, “PIONEER BRAND” with circular trademark seal, man sitting on tree stump smoking pipe. Front side reads, “RICHMOND CAVENDIS Co. LIMITED LIVERPOOL” and the two short sides read, “GOLDEN FLAKE CAVENDISH”. Under lid is original Pioneer Brand paper label. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Light denting, scratching, rust, etc., throughout. See photos. Displays handsomely!
