The sheathed dagger is long, measuring approx. 17 inches from tip to handle, 2 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches thick. Blade measures approx. 11 inches long. North Africa, likely Algerian, 20th Century or possibly earlier. Hand crafted. Sheath and handle are constructed with cowrie shell covered wood. The steel curved blade has decorative etched design on both sides. Overall, good vintage condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. A few small areas of missing shells and point of blade protrudes through the tip of the sheath. See photos. Displays impressive!
