Herend Porcelain Apponyi Pink & Gold Miniature Empire Trumpet Vase c.1939-48

$195.00

Herend Porcelain Bud Vase for your consideration. The vase is small, measuring approx. 3 inches tall. Top diameter measures approx. 2 3/4 inches; base diameter approx. 2 1/8 inches. Hungarian, first half 20th Century. Porcelain, hand painted miniature porcelain trumpet vase crafted by the world-renowned Herend Porcelain Manufactory. This striking cabinet piece features the iconic Apponyi Pink pattern (often referred to as Chinese Bouquet or Indian Basket), showcased in a vivid raspberry-pink palette against a crisp white porcelain ground. Modeled in the classic Neoclassical/Empire style, the flared trumpet body rests elegantly on a tiered circular base supported by three stylized, sphere-shaped feet completely gilded in rich 24K gold.

This piece dates to the World War II era (c. 1939–1948). The underside features:
• The authentic, hand-painted underglaze blue Herend factory backstamp used exclusively during this timeframe.
• The rare, deeply incised vintage “HEREND” factory script alongside the incised mold shape number 6544, pressed directly into the raw clay body prior to glazing.

Excellent Vintage Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines, or restoration. The 24K gold trim along the rim and spherical feet remains bright and exceptionally well-preserved with negligible age-related wear. Minor, authentic shelf-wear/darkening on the unglazed resting rim of the base, consistent with a genuine 1940s porcelain piece. See photos.

A beautiful addition to any Herend collection or a sophisticated pop of color for a vanity, desk, or curated shelf display.
