Gilded Chalkware Equestrian Mantel Piece with Child & Dog, c.1930-1940s

Vintage Chalkware Child, Horse & Dog Mantel Piece for your consideration. The statuette measures approx. 9 1/2 inches tall, 8 1/2 inches wide, and 3 inches deep. American, first half 20th Century. Victorian-style, Farmhouse. Chalkware, metallic gilded faux-bronze finish. Sculpture depicts equestrian theme of youth standing alongside a saddled horse and dog. Old red felt covered base. Very good vintage condition. A few worn areas (fleabites) around base edge. Dog’s ear is chipped but has been filled with a gilded bronze color, closely matching (photo 10). Not noticeable except under close examination. See photos. Displays charming!
