Antique Miniature Portrait Painting of Woman in Original Presentation Case The case measures approx. 2 3/8 inches X 2 7/8 inches and approx. 1/2 of an inch thick. Continental, early 19th century. Hand painted; finely executed watercolor portrait of middle-aged woman under glass and encased in gold gilt oval matted frame. Original leather daguerreotype ninth plate case. Brass swivel hook latch. Inside of case on left side is fitted with reddish-brown velvet. Excellent antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age. See photos. Displays lovely!
