Antique Indian Bidriware Hookah Base Pot for your consideration. The hookah base pot is a nice, large size, measuring approx. 10 1/4 inches tall. Base diameter measures approx. 9 3/4 inches. Top inside diameter measures approx. 2 1/4 inches; outside top diameter approx. 3 inches. India, 18th Century. Bell-shaped form. Brass; Mixed metal, Bidri-artwork. Hand engraved, intricate floral design. Gilt and silvered banded design. Old, mid-century hand-typed provenance description on underside of base (in error) identifying this piece as an antique pewter & bronze paschal candle holder. The hookah base pot is in very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Condition issues include, but are not limited to: soiling, pitting, shallow denting, light rust, natural patina, scratching, etc… See photos. Displays important!
