Anglo-Indian Carved Box with Miniature Painting of Jama Masjid in Delhi

Rare Anglo-Indian Carved Box with Miniature Painting of the Jama Masjid for your consideration. The box measures approx. 9 inches long, 5 5/8 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall. India; 19th Century. Finely carved and extreme detailing of floral patterns and deeply carved quatrefoil in center of lid. Original brass hinges and double latch hardware. Interior of box is lined with original blue velvet and has separated compartments. Under lid is a well-executed hand painted miniature of the Jama Masjid in Delhi. Excellent antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. See photos. Displays phenomenal!
