Antique Framed Tonalist Nautical Lithograph for your consideration. The framed print measures approx. 15 1/2 inches X 27 inches and approx. 1 inch thick. The print measures approx. 12 1/4 inches X 24 inches. Likely American, late 19th to early 20th Century. Framed Art Print. Nautical maritime evening scene with sailboats in the distance and two men in a rowboat in front. Rocky cliff shoreline to left of picture with silhouetted figures gathered around a campfire. The lithograph is an example of tonalism; a night scene with dark shadowing and muted rays of moonlight. Print is under glass and encased in period, ornate gesso painted wood frame. Old cardboard backing; wire for hanging on wall. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age. Print has very slight waviness. Not noticeable except under close examination. Frame shows some loss to gesso decoration and further signs of minor wear. Shabby Chic! See photos. Displays splendid!
