Wedgwood Personages Transfer Loving Cup & Saucer

Antique Wedgwood Personages Pattern Transferware Loving Cup & Saucer for your consideration. The cup measures approx. 2 inches tall and approx. 4 3/4 inches from handle to handle. Top diameter of cup measures approx. 3 1/4 inches; base diameter approx. 2 7/8 inches. Saucer measures approx. 5 3/4 inches in diameter; foot diameter measures approx. 2 3/4 inches. Black transfer decorations with gold gilt highlights against cream ground. Cup has double gold gilt handles. One side of cup is transfer scene of a man behind lady in cart being pulled by a goat; other side is scene of a boy trying to rein a goat off another kid on the ground. Saucer has transfer scenes including a man drinking with a woman and another scene of a man, donkey, and lamb in a boat. Both saucer and cup has impressed “WEDGWOOD” marks; plus further impressed and ink marks. Excellent antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. No chips or cracks. Gilding and transfer print is a bit faded in a few areas. See photos. Displays splendid!
