The painting measures approx. 8 inches X 10 inches. American, first half 20th Century. Hand painted watercolour of cupid relaxing in a wine champagne glass. Handwritten title, “Happy Days” underneath the image. Painting is under glass and encased in period frame. Old paper backing with black & white print attached to the reverse of original artwork by Grace Gebbie Wiedersein Drayton (1878-1936). The print reads in small print at bottom, “copyright 1909, By Reinthal & Newman, N. Y.” Wire on back for hanging on wall. Very good vintage condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. A few age spots and light staining. See photos. Displays charming!
