Vista Alegre Bronze Stag Deer Inkwell c. 1930s

Rare & Original Bronze Stag Inkwell with Vista Alegre Porcelain Inkwell for your consideration. The inkstand measures approx. 4 5/8 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches deep. The porcelain inkwell insert measures approx. 1 inch tall and approx. 1 3/8 inches outside diameter, 7/8 of an inch inside diameter. Portugal; c. 1924-47. Porcelain insert is marked, “VA PORTUGAL”. The insert rests in tree stump shaped Syroco wood well and bronzed-metal decorative stag profile. Bronze looped rope design for holding pen. Excellent vintage condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. Syroco shows some cracking. Not noticeable except under close examination. See photos. Displays unusual, handsome!
