Large Victorian Swirled Glass Inkwell for your consideration. The inkwell measures approx. 6 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches X 3 3/4 inches. American, Second half 19th Century. Leaded crystal, swirl glass. Slightly amethyst in color due to manganese and sunlight over many years. Nickle-plated bronze collar. Single hinged lid. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Has a bit of a rattle when lid is opened or turned upside down. Manufacturing flaw lines and bubbles in glass. Plated metal shows a bit of corrosion. See photos. Displays impressive!
