Primitive Shoe Shine Bootblacks Stand

Antique Shoe Shine Stand for your consideration. The stand measures approx. 9 3/4 inches at tallest point, 17 inches at longest point and 11 inches wide. American, first half 20th Century. Portable shoe shine stand, wooden construction with original mustard yellow paint. Four footed base, horizontal single bracing on sides with decorative vertical and horizontal supports on front and back. Typical slanted surface. These makeshift “bootblacks” stands were commonly used by street urchins in metropolis areas in and around the 1920s. The stand is in very good “chippy” condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Natural patina. See photos. Displays nostalgic!
