Primitive Folk Art Hearts, Star & Diamond Multi-Wood Inlaid Box for your consideration. The box measures approx. 8 1/4 inches long, 5 1/4 inches deep, and 2 5/8 inches tall. American, 19th Century. Dark and light multi-wood inlaid construction. Diamond shape on top of lid. Two heart and star inlaid shapes on front with escutcheon in center of star. Dark and light alternating columned sides. Double brass hinged. Anti-slip / anti-scratch green felt fabric on base. Very good antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. Old handwriting on inside of box in pencil. Missing key yet opens and closes properly. See photos. Displays attractive.
