Original Antique Art Nouveau Mucha Style Portrait Painting for your consideration. The framed painting measures approx. 15 inches X 15 inches and approx. 1 inch thick. Painting circle diameter measures approx. 9 1/2 inches. Hand painted portrait of young lady with beautiful flowing sandy blonde hair, leafy headdress and green shawl. Inner gold gilt circle with blue border and leafy design. Larger outer circle painted maroon with oak leaf and acorn design. Painting has been professionally reframed and matted under glass encased in black ridged frame and dark blue matte. Paper backing includes photo of original handwritten description on the back of the painting. Mostly illegible, but appears to read, “Mrs. Malcolm Randle” “1616 Central ??” “-169-26-12-” and artist signature, “B???”. Wire on back for hanging on wall. Excellent condition. Painting shows wear commensurate with age. A few small areas of missing paint. Glass shows minor scratching and faint residue. The condition issues are only noticeable under very close examination.
