English Hand Painted Enameled Aesthetic Movement Ceramic Vase Pair for your consideration. Each vase measures approx. 7 3/4 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 2 5/8 inches deep. Top opening of each vase measures approx. 2 1/8 inches X 4 3/4 inches; base measures approx. 2 3/8 inches X 3 1/2 inches. 19th Century, English; Attributed to Christopher Dresser of Minton. Each vase is heavily decorated with hand-painted enameling; Aesthetic Movement design with foliage, exotic birds, butterfly and dragonfly. Encrusted gold gilding throughout. Vases are unmarked. Bottom of one vase has original St Louis Retailer’s label. The paper label reads, “Eugene Jaccard & Co. Jewelers”. Overall, good antique condition. No chips or cracks. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Gold gilt is faded in areas. See photos. Displays extraordinary!
