Set of Three Large 19th Century Apothecary Blown in Mold (BIM) Glass Ground Stopper Bottle and Jars for your consideration. The descriptions of each are as follows:
1.) Jar. Measures approx. 12 1/2 inches tall with stopper; 10 7/8 inches without stopper. Base diameter measures approx. 4 1/4 inches. Faint hand writing in pencil on insert of stopper. Excellent condition. A few flea bites to insert of stopper. Can not be seen when stopper is in bottle.
2.) Bottle. Measures approx. 12 inches tall with stopper; 11 1/4 inches without stopper. Base diameter measures approx. 4 1/4 inches. Very good condition. Shallow flake to underside of stopper. Two flea bites to lip rim. Not noticeable except under close examination.
3.) Jar. Measures approx. 10 1/4 inches tall with stopper; 9 1/8 inches without stopper. Base diameter measures approx. 3 1/4 inches. Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Faint tape residue.
The bottle/jars show wear commensurate with age and use; being crude, have manufacturing flaws and imperfections. The glass is tented amethyst in color due to the manganese in the glass reacting to sunlight over many years. See photos. Displays elegantly!
