Designed by Rene Lalique for Roger et Gallet Paris, France in 1922 for their “Fleurs d’ Amour” face powder cosmetic product. Aluminum box decorated in embossed “Birds of Paradise” motif. Two exotic birds in flight with swirling feather designed lid. Ribbed sides. Signed, “LALIQUE” towards the bottom edge of lid. Embossed base reads, “FLEURS D’ AMOUR” “POUDRE NATURELLE” “ROGER ET GALLET” “PARIS”. Original powder puff with Bakelite loop handle. Excellent vintage condition.
