Antique John Lyons Stoneware Whiskey Jug for your consideration. The jug measures approx. 11 1/2 inches tall. Base diameter measures approx. 7 inches, top spout diameter measures approx. 2 inches. Boston, Mass, Second half 19th Century. Salt glazed with cobalt lettering that reads, “JOHN LYONS COR BEACH & SOUTH STS REGISTERED BOSTON”. Applied thumbprint strap handle. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Three shallow chips to lip including small hairline measuring approx. 3/8 of an inch to glaze. See photos. Displays rustic!
