Important and Rare Antique Glazed Redware Ram Sheep Bank for your consideration. The bank measures approx. 7 inches tall, 9 inches long and 4 1/4 inches wide. 19th Century. Attributed to George Wagner; Carbon County, PA. Molded ram sheep with applied circular wool patterned design, long swirled tail and incised details to face and horns. Surface decorated with streaks of greenish copper and manganese; covered in clear lead glaze. Carved coin slot to back neck area. Very nice condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Minor chipping throughout. Original firing holes under neck and belly of figure. See photos. Displays magnificently!
