Vintage Elgin American Beauty Masquerade Compact for your consideration. The compact measures approx. 2 3/4 inches X 2 3/4 inches and approx. 1/4 of an inch thick. Brass; masquerade masks and swirling ribbon design on front lid. Ribbed line design on back. Push clasp opens up mirror and brass decorated cover with mark that reads, “American Beauty BY ELGIN AMERICAN MADE IN USA”. Brass cover has slide clasp that opens to a mostly empty powder compartment. Overall, good vintage condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Mirror shows obvious wear, but intact and functional. See photos. Displays elegantly!
