Early Americana Cornwallis & Lafayette Copper Luster Creamer for your consideration. The creamer measures approx. 4 inches tall and approx. 5 inches from spout to handle. English; c. 1820-1830. Copper luster with canary yellow body and transfer print on each side. One side depicts portrait with two angels and eagle. Titled, “LAFAYETTE” at top. The other side of the creamer depicts a grouping of figures and reads, “CORNWALLIS” “Resigning his Sword at York Town Oct. 19. 1781”. Overall, good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Light crazing throughout. Small areas of transfer print loss in a few places. Restoration to spout and handle reattached. Priced accordingly. See photos.
