Chinese Root Carving of Shoulao for your consideration. The figure measures approx. 4 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep. Late Qing to early Republic Period. Possibly Boxwood. Small figural carving; God of Longevity Shou Lao Xing with deer and holding peach tree branch. Nicely carved with fine detail. Very good condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age. Small crack to back of figure. See photos. Displays splendid!
