Description
Birmingham Sterling Silver & Guilloche Cut Glass Dresser Jar for your consideration. The jar measures approx. 4 inches tall and approx. 4 inches in diameter. Top diameter measures approx. 2 1/2 inches; base diameter approx. 2 1/4 inches. Beautiful pink guilloche set in Birmingham sterling silver. Hallmarked as such and dated c. 1919. Further hallmarks are those of I. M. Hutchfield, Harford Works, Birmingham. Skillfully cut-glass design of drapes, stars and diamond patterns. Old handwritten label on base reads, “No. 3751 Sterling Birmingham 1919”. Very good antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. A manufacturing imperfection to the glass as there are two lines inside the glass at base. Also, some surface wear towards the top of the glass. Not noticeable except under close examination. See photos. The enameling, silver and cut glass in this vanity jar is just gorgeous!
