Gorgeous Art Nouveau bronze maiden decorative plate for your consideration. The plate measures approx. 9 1/2 inches in diameter. Repousse center image of young lady in sunbonnet. Perforated rococo swag design decorating outer center of plate around the portrait. Sold copper band bordering perforated details. Scalloped cut pattern bordering edge of plate. Hand etched mark on back of plate, “0252263”. Nice condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age. Faint evidence that this plate was originally gilded and has lost majority of gilt. This loss of gilt over time has revealed beautiful natural bronze patina and faint gilt highlights. Displays alluring.
