Art Nouveau Framed Portrait Painting; Oil on Board of Young Maiden for your consideration. The framed painting measures approx. 16 1/2 inches X 19 1/2 inches and approx. 1 1/2 inches deep. The painting measures approx. 9 inches X 12 inches. Oil on board in Victorian gilt gesso frame. Portrait painting of young maiden holding flower. Original paper label on back of frame reads, “P. SMITH 47 HIGH STREET HAWICK”. Painting has not been removed from frame to determine if signed by artist. Overall, good antique condition. Photos 5 and 6 show painting under black light; possible touch up restorations. Painting has areas of minor paint loss, scratching, soiling, etc… Frame shows missing areas of gilt gesso. See photos. Displays beautiful!
