Rare & Original Art Deco Moriyama Porcelain Figurine for your consideration. The figurine is a nice larger size, measuring approx. 12 1/2 inches tall, 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches deep. Japan, first half 20th Century. Moriyama Pottery, Goldscheider Vienna Style, after Claire Weiss (1906-1997). Hand painted porcelain figurine. Beautiful blonde woman in riding costume fashioned in tailored red jacket, dark skirt, feathered hat, and holding a riding crop in her arms. Marked on base, “Moriyama Japan” in red ink bouquet. Also included on base is the original retailer’s heart-shaped label that reads, “STORE OF 1000 GIFTS” “KC GIFT MART” “218 EAST 11th ST. KANSAS CITY, MO”. Excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Shows minor wear commensurate with age. A few small blemishes to base that are not noticeable except under close examination. See photos. Displays splendid! Scarce!
